With the support of Pro Helvetia, ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne participates in the 10th anniversary of swissnex Singapore (www.swissnexsingapore.org) which will be celebrated the 11th of June 2014. On this occasion, ECAL presents the project "Computer Orchestra" realized by students of the Bachelor Media & interaction Design.
"Computer Orchestra" is an interactive installation that allows the user to conduct a virtual orchestra. Hands’ s Movements are recognized by a camera which allows a group of computers to react by playing sounds and displaying feedback.
This project was created during a workshop given at ECAL by Andreas Gysin on music and networks. The system works with Processing, SimpleOpenNi and Ableton Live.
