Diploma project, ECAL 2016

by Andreas Lumineau

This project is a video essay on today’s cultural landscapes, made of sequences recorded during journeys in Switzerland, France, Italy, Japan and Brazil, with a changeable nature. By dissolving simple storytelling, I have put in dialogue fragments of sequences whose nature is binary. Personal in their angle of approach, they appear universal through the banality of their subject.

These images embody the memory of this period of travelling where souvenirs and places mix. Illustrating this disorientation has led my sound and editing work.
