3 ECAL GRADUATES AT DESIGN PARADE HYÈRES 2024

The 18th edition of the Design Parade Hyères festival will take place from 27 to 30 June 2024, with the aim of sharing contemporary creation in the field of design with the public and professionals.   

Each year, the competition showcases the work of ten young designers, giving them unique exposure. Among the finalists are two promising names: Gabriel Hafner and Alex Sinh Nguyen , both graduates of the ECAL in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.  

This year's edition will also be marked by the participation of Fabien Cappello , president of the jury of Design Parade Hyères 2024 and guest of honour. A graduate of ECAL's Bachelor of Industrial Design programme since 2007, the designer brings with him international expertise and an innovative vision of design. Based in Guadalajara, Mexico, his design studio stands out for its ability to create relevant and aesthetic material solutions, shaping unique products for industry and public and private environments. The designer enjoys exploring the possibilities offered by often overlooked materials, creating objects that are durable and culturally significant. His work, influenced by Mexican culture and local materials, resonates significantly with the international contemporary design landscape.   

By providing a showcase for emerging young talent and highlighting influential figures such as Fabien Cappello, Design Parade Hyères continues to assert its crucial role in promoting contemporary creation and innovation in the field of design.
