Congratulations to Anna-Marija Adomaityte, ECAL Master of Visual Arts Graduate, who has won the June Johnson Newcomer prize awarded by the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation.

From the 31 entries received, a committee drawn from the jury proposed four names to the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation. The Foundation awarded the prize to Anna-Marija Adomaityte (GE). Born in Lithuania, Adomaityte obtained a Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance at the Manufacture de Lausanne and went on to complete a Master's degree in visual arts at the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL), while continuing to work as a choreographer.

Her third and most recent show, “TikTok-Ready Choreographies”, captivates with its expressive power, thanks in particular to her collaboration with a group of young tiktokeuses. The prize of 25,000 Swiss francs is donated by the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation.
