About the collection

What is a limited edition?
Several times a year, micasa launches a limited edition collection available only for a short time and while stocks last. The idea: micasa creates and produces exclusive pieces in close collaboration with emerging and renowned brands, designers, artists or Swiss institutions – all at fair prices. In doing so, we make contemporary Swiss design more accessible and affordable for everyone.

What is the purpose of the HOMEWORKS collection?
With HOMEWORKS, micasa and ECAL aim to promote emerging Swiss design. This collaboration gave Bachelor Industrial Design students a unique opportunity to create real products – affordable, high-quality and developed with great creative freedom.

Why is the collection limited?
Through limited editions, micasa introduces bold and original highlights to complement its regular range. These collections are created exclusively with and for micasa and are available only while stocks last.

What was the inspiration behind the collection?
HOMEWORKS is micasa’s invitation to ECAL students to rethink the way we live. Students from the Bachelor in Industrial Design developed thoughtful, simple and desirable furniture and accessories that are both surprising and joyful. They bring a touch of optimism to everyday life. The project also gave students the rare chance to design real, high-quality, accessible products with full creative freedom.
