"Bonobo", Zoel Aeschbacher's Bachelor Film diploma, won the 2019 Student Academy Awards (Narrative - International Film Schools) - the Oscars for students - presented on October 17th at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater Beverly Hills
This film has been pre-selected amongst 1615 short films and has won the Gold medal in the Narrative – International Film Schools category, given on the occasion of these exclusive student Oscars. Thanks to this award, the film becomes eligible for Oscars also awarded by the Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in February 2020.

Félix, Ana and Seydoux live in the same social housing without knowing each other. The three characters seem linked by one and only element: the building’s dilapidated elevator, an infernal machine leading them to an inescapable tragic destiny.
Released in 2017, this film has already received numerous awards, including the Audience Award at the International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, the Up Coming Award at the Soothurner Filmtagel, the Spirit Award for Short Narrative at the Brooklyn International Film Festival and the Best Fiction Short at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
