Two projects from the "Delirious Home" exhibition, presented at the Milan International Furniture Fair 2014 and awarded with the Milano Design Award for the Best Show, newly acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) for its collection in London.
These two pieces ("Ostinati" and "Broken Mirror"), created by students of Bachelor Industrial Design and Bachelor Media & Interaction Design under the supervision of Alain Bellet and Chris Kabel, are presented by the Design Fund (the programme in charge of acquisitions by the museum) at the V&A until November 6, 2014. "Broken Mirror" by ECAL/Guillaume Markwalder, Aurélia Von Allmen (Video on Vimeo)
«Broken Mirror» uses a flexible reflective membrane stretched over a circular structure in your presence. Come closer, the reflection only appears when you are right up front!
"Ostinati" by ECAL/Iris Andreadis, Nicolas Nahornyj, Jerôme Rütsche (Video on Vimeo)
«Ostinati» is a family of containers which defy gravity. Looking at them gives you the feeling of floating in orbit, free from earthly constraints.
