From 3 to 25 September 2022, photography in all its forms will take over the streets of Vevey, take over the parks and stroll along the banks of the lake. For three weeks, the Festival Images Vevey transforms the small town on the Riviera and welcomes a large audience. This year, three ECAL graduates are part of the programme.
Mahalia Taje Giotto presents at Festival Images Vevey his diploma work in Master Photography (2022). Existential Boner is a reflection on the artist's long-standing obsession with his body and the gender he was assigned at birth. His photographic project reflects his search for identity through the use of texts, collages, optical distortions and digital transformations.
Between photography, sculpture and performance, 4 Photographers is an experimental installation conceived by Clemens Fischer, a graduate of the Master of Photography (2022), for the Festival Images Vevey. The work speculates on a future where cameras have become autonomous machines with their own identity and character.
Guadalupe Ruiz, who graduated in 2002, presents Petit Suisse at Festival Images Vevey, a series of photographs that recounts the inspiring relationship between her and her son. In a limited edition publication, the black and white photographs illustrate her son's boundless creativity.
