An increasing number of images are produced autonomously by machines for machines with a gradual exclusion of any human intervention. Automated Photography is a research project developed by the Master Photography that addresses this situation by examining the technologies of image production and distribution such as: machine learning, CGI, photogrammetry.
An immersive audiovisual exhibition presents critical views and a selection of projects that explore the aesthetic and conceptual potential of automated photography.
This exhibition is organised by the Swiss Embassy in Japan and ECAL, in collaboration with the French Institute for Research on Japan at the Maison franco-japonaise, and in partnership with Yebisu International Festival for Art and Alternative Visions 2023 Film Festival.
This event is part of the Vitality.Swiss communication program supported by the Swiss Embassy in Japan.
