Congratulations to Thibault Walter, ECAL teacher and co-programmer of the Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival (LUFF), on his award at the Swiss Music Awards 2024. This special award recognizes his unwavering commitment to the underground music scene and his central role within LUFF.

Since 2002, this daring festival has become an essential platform for the avant-garde in film and music. Under the direction of Thibault Walter and Dimitri Meier, the LUFF's musical program welcomes international artists exploring noise, ambient and experimental genres, such as Kim Gordon and No Home. Thanks to their radical programming, they give valuable exposure to little-known talents on the underground scene.

This special prize underlines Thibault Walter's impact in promoting alternative music culture in Switzerland. Through his work at LUFF, he actively contributes to the flourishing of contemporary musical creation and the promotion of a scene that is both innovative and committed.
