Second-year students of the ECAL Fine Arts Bachelor present a group exhibition exploring the relationship between individual elements and the creation of a whole.
As part of the “Faits et gestes” class by Philippe Decrauzat , the students designed an installation that unfolds through a cycle of appearance and disappearance, in which the space is alternately and intermittently plunged into darkness and then reactivated by light.
By exploring the interaction between isolated elements and the construction of a whole, this exhibition stems from the observation that an accumulation is not enough to produce a coherent unity: fragments — whether visual, textual, or gestural — do not necessarily form a stable or legible system.
