Jeanne Favre – Laurent is away

Jeanne Favre – Laurent is away

by Jeanne Favre

Through pieces of memories, the book is attempting to bring a departed uncle back to life, mixing archives and contemporary pictures. Laurent appears as a fictitious figure, a kind of ghostly spirit, who ensures that the secrets surrounding his existence are brought to light. This identity quest plunged me into an intensely spiritual and emotional experience, allowing me to restore and understand my own story. Each family has its missing individual, its silences, and I'm willing to explore the resulting feelings through this work.
