Artist Alessia Gunawan creates the ECAL's 2024 greetings with Noon, an original work based on artificial intelligence.
Born in Jakarta in 1995 to Italian and Chinese Indonesian parents, Alessia Gunawan is a multimedia artist who devotes herself to photography and film.
At the heart of her personal projects, she strives to create hyper-saturated images that conceal the multiple aspects of a globalised and seemingly connected contemporary culture. After completing her Master's in Photography at the ECAL in 2020, she embarked on a professional career that has taken her to various cities around the world.
She currently works between Paris and Milan, mainly as a fashion photographer and art director. Her prestigious portfolio includes collaborations with leading brands such as Off-White, Valentino, Vibram, Magliano, Slam Jam, Nike, MM6, Fondazione Prada, Bally, Emporio Armani and Umbro. His work has also been featured in influential publications such as Alla Carta Magazine, Gruppe Magazine, King Kong Magazine, Esquire, Vogue Italia and GQ.
