DESIGN FOR LUXURY & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Collaboration with de Sede

by Ini Archibong, Ophélie Sanga

Like many other « Maisons » specialized in leather goods, de Sede started its history through saddle making. 50 years later, the Swiss brand wished to celebrate its anniversary by asking students from the Master of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship to design an armchair that would highlight their knowhow and the quality of the leather they use.

ECAL lays the table   For this fifth collaboration between ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne and the Maison Christofle, the students of the Master of Advanced Studies have taken the challenge to dive straight into the heart of silversmithing history by creating a set of cutlery.
