Diploma project, ECAL 2019
in BACHELOR PHOTOGRAPHY
by Eliott Villars
Châtelaine, a housing district in the commune of Vernier, near Geneva. This micro-enclave, which was developed in the ‘70s to house a new workforce, is condemned to disappear to make way for a vast urban project. Nowadays, the local population has become more diverse and enjoys more personal freedom. Through this installation I wanted to invite the viewer to question the way they perceive their urban environment and living space.
In carrying out Maison libre I developed a long-term approach on a local issue.
