Amongst the different propositions the project of canadian student Philippe-Albert Lefebvre combines ergonomics with the hard edges and geometrical shapes Hublot is well known for. The shape derives from the way professional chefs hold their knives. In that sense, the sides of the handles are ribbed at the exact place the thumb and the index should pinch the blade. The blade perfectly balances with the weight of the hollowed out handle. Each knife features a large handle core, a unique asset reminding of the classic layered construction of the Hublot watches.
While for Jacques-Elie Ribeyron, another canadian student, the project consisted of a sleeve made from cow hide containing a large « All black » chopping knife and a fork stamped with the logo of the brand.
