Despite the widespread use of self-tracking technologies, the exploration of intimate data remains a largely uncharted territory.
Aidee is a design research project that focuses on urine monitoring and addresses the complexity of intimate self-tracking by challenging standard ways of representing and interacting with data. Composed of a mobile app and a connected interactive device, the Aidee system uses a qualitative form of data representation and situated visualisations to foster new form of engagement between users and the private spheres of their health.
