From May 29 to August 30 2015, the ongoing design research "Inhabiting and Interfacing the Cloud(s)" is presented at the Haus der elektronischen Künste (H3K) in Basel, in the frame of the exhibition "Poetics and Politics of Data".
Inhabiting & Interfacing the Cloud(s) is an ongoing design research about Cloud Computing, as well as about the iconic infrastructure that underpinns this service, the data center.
With the support of HES-SO/University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland, it explores the creation of design counter-proposals to the current expression of this technological and functional arrangement, particularly in its forms intended for private individuals and end users (Personal Cloud).
Halfway through the exploration process, the current status of the work is presented with a scenography by fabric | ch as part of the media art exhibition Poetics and Politics of Data, curated by Sabine Himmelsbach, at the Haus der elektronschen Künste (H3K) in Basel.
Research assistants: Lucien Langton, Charles Chalas
Partners: James Auger (Auger-Loizeau), Christian Babski (fabric | ch), Matthew Plummer-Fernandez (#algopop)
