Ornamental Impulse , the first issue of SUPER FRESCO FUMETTI , is a magazine that addresses a variety of topics in a playful and visually experimental way.

The issue deals with structural ornaments found in our everyday architectural life. It questions contemporary craftsmanship, how mass customisation and digital control are reviving the long-lost aura of ornaments and how politics impacts on architecture. By dematerialising the built space and recomposing urban structures, this collection of structural ornaments aims to rethink their use in urban, visual and/or conceptual environments.

“A Continent to Be Shaped” is a journey through alternative teaching in architecture. The book is an atlas from the archives of EASA, an alternative school created by students in Liverpool in 1981. Forty years of workshop data from authors across the continent have been systematically edited in a non-chronological journey, revealing the students’ local ideologies and issues. No architecture is shown in order to stimulate the reader’s imagination, the archive is revived and extended with laser-cut silhouettes then modulated into an umpteenth construction. Prix BCV
