"The aim of the workshop was to produce a 3 to 5 minute fiction film during a two days shooting at a single location around Lausanne, based on the script of a pre-existing film. The students saw ten feature films and were assigned one of them. They extracted a scene from it and adapted it. The films ranged from Subway (Luc Besson) to Lazarro Felice (Alice Rohrwacher). 
Each short film had to be able to be seen independently of the film from which it was taken. The aim of the workshop was to try out the problems of directing actors, cutting and directing without focusing on the script for this first fictional exercise."
