Floriane Roulin – Petites Bouées
by Floriane Roulin
Over the course of a weekend, Sophie and Mila reunite at their childhood vacation home to prepare their father's wedding. But when an old MiniDV tape resurfaces, its blurred images awaken memories that seemed long forgotten. The two sisters begin to piece together a fragmented childhood, marked by waiting and silence. Moving between past and present, Sophie confronts the anger that still binds her to her father. Through the perspective of these two sisters, Petites Bouées explores the workings of memory, the unspoken truths passed down through generations, and the challenge of coming to terms with a past left unresolved. The MiniDV tape, with its fragile and intimate texture, becomes a space where the past re-emerges in fragments.
