Arsène, a twelve-year-old boy, must perform a cello piece for his dying grandfather. Overwhelmed by fear and shame, he runs away after realizing he has forgotten his sheet music at the conservatory. Along the way, he meets a girl his age who leads him off course and helps him find the courage to return to his grandfather.
