Gestuelle

Mariko Ito – Gestuelle

Gestuelle is a collection of perfume bottles that revisits the ritual of putting perfume on. With a classic spray, a fragrance is layered on the skin and you can feel the packets of molecules, while with slower and more extensive diffusion, fragrances seem immediately airier and more faceted. Each type of bottle invites you to delicately deposit the fragrance on the skin or hair with a gesture that embellishes the perfume in contact with the body. The blown and sandblasted glass container allows the natural colour of the liquid to shine through, while the cap offers a unique identity to each type of bottle in the collection.

Candice Aepli – Brindille et Azilise

by Candice Aepli

Brindille et Azilise invite you to imagine children's space differently, by offering a lively, playful universe in their bedrooms. Here, the story is not read between the pages, but lies on the floor and climbs up the windows. It slips under an arm. It tucks in dreams. It's a whole world at children's level, where ecosystems come to life through furniture, transforming everyday life into a playground for exploration. Le jardin, collection no. 1 The gardener has slipped seeds into the soil, the bright sun warms the petals, the mouse nibbles on the sly, and in this corner full of life, everyone is busy and smiling.

Souvenir items for The Olympic Museum

with Hector Serrano

To mark the reopening of The Olympic Museum, the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne has been working on designing souvenir items for the Museum shop, created by Bachelor of Industrial Design students after a workshop with Hector Serrano, a Spanish designer based in Valencia. Two of these projects are set to go on sale in the Museum shop shortly.  The aim was to create a collection of souvenirs which reflect the spirit of Olympism and The Museum in a contemporary, fun way. Using his experience in this area, Spanish designer Hector Serrano gave the students some tips on what makes a successful souvenir item. The students came up with around 30 proposals, which were submitted to a jury composed of Olympic Museum and IOC employees.

with Alain Bellet, Cyril Diagne, Cédric Duchêne, Christophe Guignard, Gaël Hugo

AudioSight is a musical game on smartphone that has  the specific feature of not using the screen. The game’s principle is based solely on the sound the user hears using headphones. The only interaction between the game and the player is the latter’s head movements. The theme of sound in space, both real and virtual, is a topic that fascinates me - especially in the current context of democratisation of virtual reality, where our sensory perception switches between the virtual world and reality.

Jamy Herrmann – MEMOGRAM

with Alain Bellet, Christophe Guignard, Gaël Hugo, Laura Nieder, Pauline Saglio

Today, for many, the memories that remain are only those of images taken with digital cameras. Through this continuous storage process, we offload those moments by trusting instantaneous backups. MEMOGRAM challenges this delegation by offering a time capsule in the form of tickets, accompanying our memories with textual clues and descriptions. www.memogram.ch
