Copper Tales

Lisa Mazenauer – Copper Tales

What links embodied desires with the spirals of open-pit mines?

Copper Tales is an installation that addresses mining operations through the sensitive bodies that are involved in it. Based on the site of the Rio Tinto mines (Spain) crossed by an acidic river, the project connects different actors participating in the extraction of raw materials. The – archaeological, geological, human, bacterial – traces marked on the grounds are projected together in a future narrative.
