Student's comment
Drifting Away (A la dérive) is based on a desire to film a place that is crowded, in this case a nursing home, with the aim of exploring group effects. The tone of the film plays with situational comedy and questions the meaning of existence and death between shots. One of the particularities of the film is that it mixes mediums, between live action and animated sequences. Drifting Away is defined as a sound and poetic film.
