ECAL Milano 2014: "Delirious Home",08–13.04.2014,Spazio Orso 16, Milan At the 2014 Milan International Furniture Fair from 8 to 13 April at Spazio Orso 16, ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne presents “Delirious Home”. The exhibition features a series of objects presenting a playful interpretation take on the concept of the “smart home”. They were made by Bachelor students in Industrial Design and Media & Interaction Design at the ECAL. A project directed by Alain Bellet and Chris Kabel. Images HD “ With Delirious Home, ECAL students teach us to take control of the latest techniques and appliances we thought controlled us. The students demonstrate their artful mastery of electronics, mechanics and interaction, developing a new kind of esthetic which goes further than just a formal approach,” explain Alain Bellet and Chris Kabel, the heads of the project. The “Delirious Home” exhibition presents with humour and originality a selection of projects arising from fruitful collaborations between Bachelor students in Industrial Design and Media & Interaction Design at the ECAL. For one semester, students worked in groups to concoct friendly mirrors that reflect only our image when we look at them: hypersensitive cactuses that like it when we give them a caress, two armchairs that invite you to enjoy a lively and meaningful “tête-à-tête”, a series of food domes that celebrate taste sensations with mellow sounds when they re opened, a group of containers that defies the laws of gravity, a clock that imitates your gestures, a very accommodating curtain, a fan that amplifies your breath, and a spoon able to follow a cup wherever it goes. Consécration de l ECAL lors du palmarès des «Plus beaux livres suisses 2013» Le palmarès du concours des «Plus beaux livres suisses» organisé par l Office fédéral de la culture (OFC) est une véritable consécration pour le Bachelor Design Graphique et le Master Art Direction de l ECAL, puisque onze professeurs et neuf diplômés de l ECAL ont été primés. Deux livres réalisés par l ECAL ont également été récompensés: «Atrocity Exhibition Archive Paradoxe: Déambulations dans La Foire aux atrocités» et «30 Years of Swiss Typographic Discourse in the Typografische Monatsblätter. Workshop "One painting, one scene" Félix Vallotton retrospective at the Grand Palais This year s workshop had the particularity of confining us to a single location: the Château de la Sarraz, and of having a relationship - whatever it may be - with the work of Félix Vallotton. The films made in collaboration with the theater students of La Manufacture were sometimes inspired by this and sometimes opposed to it. Two films illustrate these possibilities in their own way. Commentary Meat has its origin in a still life by the painter. The precision of Christophe Saber s text, its restrained actors, its formalist and pictorial cutting, its contrasting light create a film that comes as close as possible to the graphic work of Félix Vallotton s illustrations. Several shots could be part of the series of famous black and white engravings. The film gives the cruel impression that even humor is a blade... splitting the flesh. Souvenir items for The Olympic Museum To mark the reopening of The Olympic Museum, the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne has been working on designing souvenir items for the Museum shop, created by Bachelor of Industrial Design students after a workshop with Hector Serrano, a Spanish designer based in Valencia. Two of these projects are set to go on sale in the Museum shop shortly. The aim was to create a collection of souvenirs which reflect the spirit of Olympism and The Museum in a contemporary, fun way. Using his experience in this area, Spanish designer Hector Serrano gave the students some tips on what makes a successful souvenir item. The students came up with around 30 proposals, which were submitted to a jury composed of Olympic Museum and IOC employees. Projects Little Audience, ECAL/Camille Ringenbach “Moo Box” containing different sounds (applause, shouts and cries of disappointment by spectators) to create your own mini Olympic audience. Pop-up Sculptures, ECAL/Emil Hjorth-Rohde These postcards show delicate athlete figures achieving Olympic exploits. Olympic Matches, ECAL/Cyrille Verdon This detachable matchbox (available in summer and winter versions) contains a list of Summer and Winter Games Olympic torches, recalling dates and countries, but also the torch display at The Olympic Museum. Exhibition "ECAL Photography" at ECAL,12.12.2013–15.02.2014,Gallery l elac, Renens From 13 December to 15 February 2014, ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne presents the “ECAL Photography” exhibition in the Gallery l elac at Renens. The exhibition offers a selection of works produced by 58 young talents during their Photography Bachelor curriculum at ECAL. All these images were chosen by exhibition curator Nathalie Herschdorfer, who has developed several internationally acclaimed projects around emerging photography, as well as by Milo Keller, head of the Photography programme at ECAL, and Alexis Georgacopoulos, ECAL director. The scenography of the exhibition is created especially by Swiss designer Adrien Rovero. The “ECAL Photography” book (296 pages, 385 images) supports this event. This book is produced by art publishers Hatje Cantz, with a worldwide reputation for their catalogue of publications on photography. HD Images An art school is an image factory. More than the religious symbols, I was interested in the media coverage of this event. Once the doors of the Sistine Chapel close, there is nothing to do but wait. Still, about 5000 journalists were in the Vatican, sent there for an extensive live coverage. While waiting for the famous white smoke, they had to generate a steady flow of information, they had to fill the blank. I chose to show this mass of information, collecting articles, tweets, and transcriptions of TV and radio broadcasts, produced only during the 26 hours of the Conclave. By organizing them in a loose chronological order, I wanted to see how these bits of information evolve within minutes, how they repeat themselves, and how they comment on each other. The images, descriptive or distorted, evoke the heavy atmosphere of the event and a feeling of vertigo. Sylvain Meltz – Mecadro Mecadro is a construction game available on computer and online (sylvainmeltz.com/mecadro), that allows you to create a “machine“ based on simple mathematical and geometric principles (translations, rotations, trigonometry…) to product complex drawings. The game introduces the user to programming through a graphic interface: he has to experiment, think in a certain way, observe and contemplate a more or less expected result. During my 4 years at ECAL, the hidden beauty of mathematics and geometry has been one of the most interesting discoveries: with a simple formula, a point can become a moving, independent and complex object. Programming took a significant part in my studies and introduced me to a certain reasoning and creative “behaviour” : to experiment, to research, to alter… Sylvain Meltz

The film focuses on issues of beauty, fantasy and uprooting. Following Sabrina enabled me to construct a filmic tension between fiction and non-fiction, that emphasizes the game that Sabrina sometimes played with the camera. By establishing an intimate relationship withmy subject, I tried to recreate the transience, the waiting that impregnate her daily life. The whole publication uses "Oskar" a font family I drew especially for this project which is serious but special at the same time. The exploration is light, uninhibited, and the path gets intriguing when it joins document research with knowledge criticism. Travaux de nuit is a subjective overview that shows its operating system, emphasizing the way the journey is made. Handling these visuals as I speak, I weave together threads of descriptive and technical language while forming narrative patterns. These take the audience through thoughts occurring to an image maker, those formed by a viewer, and transcriptions of camera or computer processes. Wishing to address the act of looking by means of spoken words I chose a hybrid medium for a composite task. I thus saw the photograph s mute, frozen likeness evolve to richer nuances, by dint of its translation into gestures and phrasings uttered live. Toys The goal of the project "jeux et jouets” was to develop a toy for kids by considering artisanal and semi artisanal production methods. The reflection is driven by the needs of a kid but also taking in account the decision maker ( The parent who buys or the person who offers). The students were particularly attentive to develop a justifying innovation, through the typ of the game or toy, production method, aesthetics or another point of view.

Collaboration with Christofle 2013 For this collaboration with Christofle the students of the Master of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship had the opportunity to work on the notion of "bi-material" in order to introduce a new secondary material to the Christofle silver. In developing Pli for this collaboration with Silverware brand Christofle Virginie Garcia wanted to highlight the knowhow of the silversmith by contrasting the refined, high-end aspect of silver with the industrial, rational universe of everyday tools. The PLI (FOLD) tray re-interprets a simple assembly technique, allowing for 2D elements to be transformed into 3D. A flattened and painted steel tube creates a subtle junction with the folded sheet of silver. The brightly coloured handle re-inforces the contrast between craftsmanship and industry, and brings a contemporary twist to the silver. Shaggy, by Chia-Yun Lee, is an office accessory created in the same manner as a paintbrush; the sides of the silver base are pressed together to pinch and hold the hairs which make up the brush. It is therefore possible to freely arrange one s pens, business cards or other office belongings between the hairs of this playful object. The idea behind Kilo, designed by Fabien Gerlier for Christofle, is to discover and highlight the contrast of two opposing materials: cast steel and silver. The first, industrial and heavy, is produced by sand-casting, which leaves the steel with a grainy and slightly imperfect surface. In contrast the silver is a noble material, delicate and entirely hand-worked to achieve a near-perfect surface. The Kilo table centre is thus comprised of a cast steel base echoing the iconic shape of measuring weights, and a highly polished silver platter. Narcisse, by Virgile Thévoz, is a tray which plays with colour by using the reflective properties of silver. A simple powder-coated steel grid reveals - at the bottom of the tray - a different colour reflection from the one on the top face and suggests a surprising effect with it s graphical coloured effect. For Cleaving Silver by JinSik Kim, Silver and stone are brought together in this project to create a series of containers of different shapes. The large, heavy stone brings stability, while the thin and delicate silver creates volume. The reflections of the stone in the metal create surprising compositions and mixes of colour which contrasts with their radical forms.

There Will Be Blood Sonya Dyakova wanted to do something about conveying music through typography. She have watched recently a Paul Thomas Anderson film ‘There Will Be Blood , and found it very moving and inspiring. The film features an original orchestral score by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and she felt the music had integral and powerful role in the film. On day one the students and I watched the film together. Afterwards, I have asked them to create a poster for it. The poster had to embody the essence of the story and ‘weave in the feeling that the sound made. Design is about telling a story, and I wanted to the audience to be able to get the story, or an essential aspect of the story, from looking at the poster. One of the tasks of the designer is to extract essence and communicate it in the most clear voice through tools that we know — typography, colour, image making, printing techniques. All elements of the poster had to have a reason and purpose. She have asked the students to create a list of words, while the film was fresh in their mind, which were reflecting the story. From these words she wanted them to start making visual elements that would make up the poster. She asked the students to use printing press, using wood and metal to create printing plates. Which, in turn, instructed the look of the poster to some degree. The number of layers was limited by the number of students and time they had — any project has constraints, and so did this one. The result was a healthy variety of approaches: some posters were abstract, some more figurative. She tried to push the students not to be afraid of the obvious. New Handwriting Tools Job Wouters aka Letman, well known for its lettering artworks, took out of his suitcase pencils and markers, as well as strange utensils much different than a typical pen and asked to his students to create, produce or divert objects from their original function to turn them into new handwriting tools. Students brought back plastic fans, water hoses, electric toothbrush, treadmills, and other uncommon objects to generate their very own handwriting machines. After a lot of trial-and-error experimentation, specific gestures and choregraphies, these newly constructed DIY machines brought about a unique aesthetic and a variety of proportion in the letter forms they produced. The results included experimental videos, books, posters, and photographs. In conclusion, the project facilitated a fun and productive week. Richard Hollis, né à Londres en 1934, s est imposé comme une figure majeure du graphisme anglo-saxon. Ses collaborations avec des artistes (Steve McQueen, Bridget Riley), des critiques d art (John Berger) et des institutions (la Whitechapel Art Gallery) furent l occasion de publications remarquables. Parmi ses nombreuses réalisations, on peut noter le livre « Swiss Graphic Design : The Origins and Growth of an International Style, 1920 – 1965 ».

One week workshop held by the dutch designer Floris Hovers about games. The starting point of the project was the favorite game of the student childhoods. After analysing and observing them, they were asked to imagine all kinds of games and toys only with on constrain to have fun!

Collaboration with Charles Schambourg This new collaboration with the Maison Charles Schambourg, a small company in Brussels specialising in woven leather, the students had the opportunity to create a variety of objects out of this natural material. For Spine, by Virginie Garcia, the aim was to conceive an object which clearly shows the properties of this unique textile. Spine is a basket whose structure is created by folds in a single piece of woven leather, inspired by origami, and thin strips of spring steel. For Lampe, Josephine Choquet wanted to work on the elasticity and flexibility of woven leather. Like the hoop, or tambour, used in embroidery, the leather is stretched in a brass structure allowing for a smooth, clean surface. The oblique light given off by the neon tube at the base, reveals the beauty of the texture created by the weave. JinSik Kim chose to draw animal shapes in order to return to the leather s origin while highlighting its visual and tactile properties. Bearing in mind the endless size, colour and weave options that the woven leather brings, this series was designed with pure and relatively abstract lines whilst maintaining a varied and playful quality. For Hesychia Petra Kuon was interested in woven leather s qualities relating to sound and sound proofing. Thanks to this natural material and the fine weaving the Brussels Maison Charles Schambourg are able to produce, these modules can efficiently absorb sound. Thanks to a simple symmetrical frame, it is possible to create any composition with the colourful gradient design of the modules. The Set de tables project by Leslie Landucci aims to highlight the sculptural qualities of woven leather by using it in a 3-dimensional manner. This collection of tables takes its reference as much from ancient woodworking techniques as it does from the world of sports and even the graphic qualities of traditional boiled sweets.

Atrocity Exhibition John Graham Ballard s literary technique influenced by Surrealism, his explicit or indirect references to artworks or artpractices and the relationships the author had with the british Pop artists attest that The Atrocity Exhibition has an affinity with the discipline of contemporary art. The aim of this research project was to design the parameters of an exhibition dedicated to The Atrocity Exhibition. The student-researchers inquired into the status of exhibitions - such as documentary, historical or thematical – and into more recent experimental displays. They decided to conceive an exhibition that articulated documentary restitution and creation. The few selected documents were used to blur the notions of context and reference in order to echo with the ambiguous media criticism in Ballard s work. The display structure created for the exhibition points towards devices as eclectic as contemporary commercial fairs, world s fairs or the Independent Group s Pavilions, in an elliptic and entropic gesture involving oblivion, decay, mutation and sedimentation. A book gathers all the lectures by invited experts, the interventions by the professors and the results of the sudents research in the conception of this exhibition. On Tour On the occasion of the 2010 editions of the Tour de Romandie and Tour de Suisse, the ECAL has made a photographic and editorial project about competitive cycling. Conducted in collaboration with La Vaudoise Assurances and Les Editions Infolio "On Tour" was primarily to explore the forms of convergence between creative photography, sports sponsorship and the world of publishing. Students in photography, under the direction of their teachers, were immersed in the world of Tours to produce views likely to exceed the stereotypes usually associated with this type of sport s events. According to their sensitivities, they were especially encouraged to inspire from innovative approaches offered by a growing number of contemporary photographers. In parallel with this prospective approach in terms of artistic and documentary photography, the goal was also to take account of recent redefinitions in the field of branding and communication and to generate original contributions, interviews and essays, on this issue. Comment Erich Hess, the president of the young Swiss "UDC", is a hard right politician, and he is my enemy. He tries to expel all foreigners from Switzerland, I am committed to the undocumented. He wants to close my autonomous cultural center, I want to ban his party. He thinks I m a terrorist, and indeed, I would love to terrorize him. Laurence Favre – Nwa-Mankamana Subjective exploration of a Swiss missionary s archives (films and letters) in South Africa. Documentary / 28mn Synopsis In 1947, Marie Tinguely leaves her homeland to go work in a hospital for the Swiss mission in the South African bush. After her death, the films shot over 25 years as a missionary, as well as some of the letters she wrote are found in a family apartment. I decide to explore them. Justine Bannwart – Le Frelon Helvétique "While trying to find a diploma subject, I watched a documentary about an ancestral sport: the Hornussen. A Swiss national sport, it s mostly played in the German part of Switzerland and pratically unknown in the French part. Often qualified as the Swiss farmers sport it s sometimes deprecated by the public because of its festive characteristics. My diploma project led me to meet the followers of this sport and to learn more about my own culture. In order to share my experience with the public I created a publication for an Hornussen s retrospective at the Swiss Sports Museum. Mixing technical information and graphics about the game and more personal illustrations inspired by Swiss Poya naïve paintings, the object gives this traditional sport a contemporary look." Matthieu Minguet – knot(e) “knot(e) is a device that offers a new way of using objects that we connect to our mobile devices. The prototypes, shown in the form of a rope, harness themselves to revisit the new node as input data. As an extension of a conventional listening device, it allows the user to generate visual and sound compositions. The intersection of the rope amplifies the signal. Conversely, the absence of knots and curves restores the application to its original position. Each prototype has its own forms, colours, atmospheres and sound effects. During the writing of my thesis, I was led by my interest in the theories of John Maeda and Hiroshi Ishii. The former describes the idea of “ tangible bytes ” and proposes to reduce the separation between digital information and physical space. Inspired by the work of Ishii, one of Maeda s theories questions the importance of simplicity of language in the human / machine interaction. This project allowed me to explore new types of interactions around a physical object.” Matthieu Minguet

Une étudiante gagne le Grand Prix Design Parade 7 Après avoir déjà remporté dans ce cadre des prix en 2006, 2008, 2009 et 2011 (Adrien Rovero, Michel Charlot, Antoine Boudin et Brynjar Sigurdarson), l ECAL/Ecole cantonale d art de Lausanne continue sa moisson à l occasion de Design Parade 7 (Festival international de design) présenté à la Villa Noailles (Hyères). Pour l édition 2012, c est Julie Richoz, diplômée en Bachelor Design Industriel depuis quelques jours, qui est devenue la lauréate du Grand Prix. Outre Julie Richoz, le jury avait sélectionné quatre autres écalien·e·s (Fanny Dora, Maxence Loisson de Guinaumont, Lili Gayman, Giorgia Zanellato) parmi les 10 candidat·e·s en compétition (sur 75 pré-sélectionné·e·s et plus de 140 dossiers envoyés par des designers de 16 pays différents). Julie Richoz (née à Yverdon-les-Bains en 1990) Après une enfance passée à La Rochelle, elle retrouve son pays d origine en intégrant l ECAL/Ecole cantonale d art de Lausanne en 2008, où elle se forme au design industriel pendant 4 ans. En 2010, elle dessine «Fierzo» pour Alessi. Il s agit d un cadre d affichage pour le bureau qui sera exposé dans différents salons, de Milan à Tokyo, en passant par Bruxelles. Elle intègre, en 2011, l équipe du Chocolate Center of Excellence de Nestlé. Ce stage lui permet de se sensibiliser au design culinaire. L année suivante, elle participe à l exposition «Too Cool for School» de l ECAL à l occasion du Salon international du Meuble de Milan en présentant un projet de recherche sur la couleur. En 2012, Julie Richoz est sélectionnée pour présenter son travail à Design Parade 7 dans le cadre de la Villa Noailles à Hyères en France. www.julierichoz.ch Les projets présentés par Julie Richoz Prenant comme point de départ l observation d un système ou d une matière qui la fascine, Julie Richoz s en réapproprie l essence pour créer des objets d une simplicité ludique et ingénieuse comme l illustre les séries Arrotolare et Bouleau. Arrotolare Inspirée par la gestuelle du ramasse-miette en métal roulé, le set de bureau Arrotolare collecte d un seul mouvement tout ce qui repose sur le bureau. A mi-chemin entre le pot et le plateau, les contenants se posent autant à l horizontal qu à la verticale et en se présentant de face ou de dos ils cachent ou dévoilent leurs contenus. S associant les unes aux autres, les différentes pièces du set s enlacent pour former un ensemble. D une facture simple, chaque objet est usiné dans une plaque de métal découpée et courbée puis fermée par un bouchon de plastique. Bouleau La série Bouleau s inspire d une pince de serrage en métal. Bien que fabriquée dans un matériau rigide, la découpe crénelée de la pince la rend élastique. En transposant celle-ci au bois, on obtient une souplesse similaire. La corbeille et le plateau Bouleau sont constitués d une parois en multiplis de bouleau souple, un anneau et un fond en aluminium. Toutes les pièces sont maintenues ensemble grâce à l élasticité du bois. Au-delà de ses atouts fonctionnels, la découpe de la pince transposée au bois façonne l esthétique de la série. Thalie (travail de diplôme Bachelor 2012) La série Thalie se construit sur un dialogue entre un processus industriel et une mise en forme artisanale. Elle se compose d un plat, d un bol à fruit et d une corbeille à pain. En prenant pour référence les ouvrages manuels tels que le crochet ou le tricot, j ai amené le métal dans une dimension proche du textile. L usinage chimique a permis de découper les patrons de mes paniers en acier ressort avec une grande finesse, ces formes sont ensuite mises en volume manuellement par un fil d acier qui court le long des tiges métalliques. Ainsi se façonnent des formes irrégulières et sensuelles à partir d un dessin au départ très mécanique. Mauro Tittoto – Manifesto Carlo Scarpa “The link between architecture and graphic design is subject long investigated. The ambition of finding an answer is the quest that drives this book - the possibility to create a key between these two worlds. The result is a translation method from architecture to a graphics system starting from a manifesto, summarising the main points. The pleasure of giving visual examples for each rule of the manifesto contributes to book content, creating a coherent visual world. Boris Meister – Above the Cloud Above the Cloud is an atlas about archeology on the social networks, death and digital marks left in distress on the internet. “I try to serve this complex subject and, above all, to explain it by creating a coherent object, both in its structure, its images and its layout. I play with the general idea of the atlas and I use different languages (associations of images, illustrations, data visualisation) to create an "atmosphere" favorable to the understanding of the subject, and, in the end, make a book "object" which might have several levels of interpretation. This is a work of graphic design, art direction, editorial research and a statement of my opinion on the status of the printed book. By providing special care to the finish of the object and its materiality (a cover made of glass, mixed paper, ...) I would like to create something simple but captivating and intriguing. This way, I want to say how I see a media (the book) whose status is now more than ever under debate.” Boris Meister

Silke Koeck – Olympic Dance “Being interested in the analysis of body language, I realised that dance expresses this topic in a very open and free way. At the same time I became fascinated by the spirit of the Olympic Games and decided to create a choreography as a celebration. While any language acts as a code that is interpreted by people, I created codes for the choreography and the space. The dance integrates intimate and familiar information about the Olympic Games and turns it into visible movement, static positions and coordinations in space. The book consists of a combination of illustrations, written instructions and pictures that make this a guidebook for the dance. Louisa Gagliardi – Sion: microcosme, systèmes d influences Sion, capital city of Valais is a small town with 30,000 inhabitants. Despite its size, the art scene is very prolific. Artists, museums, galleries, auctions, monuments, studios and residencies, all the institutions are in place. Add to that the mountains, soccer clubs, wine makers, banks, politicians and superstars and you ll get a very original artstic scenery. The aim of this book is to show how such a place works, with influences systems, networking, alliances, sponsorship, cronyism and so on… Whereas the past 4 years have given me all the tools to realise a coherent book graphic design-wise, this work also allies serious research with a strong content which, to me, was still something to achieve. Having spent the first 20 years of my life in Sion, with an artist mother and an architect father, I allow myself a sometimes acid, sometimes fun commentary on a small but very proud art scene. Ruslan Gaynutdinov – Sona “During the first half of 3rd year at ECAL, I made an installation project based on the visualization of sound. I am interested in how the spectator is immersed in the interactive piece in the presence of this ele- ment. I decided to continue my research on the themes of sound and atmosphere. Sona is an experimental game on iPad inspired by the classic “ Simon game ”. The universe is composed of enigmatic sound paintings that the spectator must solve through simple interactions. The game is played with headphones to focus attention on the sound. This project allowed me to study in detail the acoustic phenomena and how we store and perceive sounds. The immersion and sound have become essential elements for me in an interactive project.” Ruslan Gaynutdinov

Julien Mercier – Made in Switzerland in China After discovering the existence of a replica of the village of Interlaken in China, I decided to go on site to document a phenomenon: the copy of Swiss (and extensively occidental) culture. Located in the middle of the mountains, one premise appeared: every single detail there was to see, from the Alphorn statues to the pigeons were the results of an intelligent, total design. In parallel, I decided to talk about the copy and this village immersively, adopting some similar processes and using Chinese means of production. A font was produced, hand copied by a Chinese copy artist, before being redigitsed, in order to obtain the copy of a classic Swiss font, whose shapes were renewed by this particular creative process. It finally takes the form of a book as well as an installation, showing the original outputs and documenting the whole process, many of which having involved a third party. Every one of these constitutive elements and the reason for their presence have a lot to do with the way they were produced. Anna Schudel – Parkin Not Dal Mot In the Swiss Alps, far away in the lower Engadine, there is an arcane garden which is home to many peculiar installations produced by Swiss artist Not Vital. Lying on a steep ground its nature is primal and raw, yet has a taste of enchanted romance. Entering the park is like stepping through a gate that separates the rational from the surreal. This particular nature, combined with the architectural sculptures, gives the visitor a fevered, dreamlike experience. The editorial project transcribes this place into an object, which allows the reader to make a virtual visit. Parkin Not dal Mot consists of a story book with local tales and lyrics of cultural value and a smaller guide presenting the artwork and the garden. Furthermore, it refers to its strong themes - art, surrealism, momentariness, nostalgia and the force of nature. It is my personal interpretation of Parkin Not dal Mot and a wish to share it with others.
