Documentary film workshop with Benoit Rossel The 2025 documentary film workshop for 1st year students was lead by french swiss director Benoit Rossel. Head of workshop: "Since it s always ghosts that are presented on screen in a film, I suggested to the 1st year students in the Cinema section that they make a film in which they would have the project of resurrecting a disappeared person or thing of their choice. Cinema, through the properties of the medium, would certainly have the capacity to bring it back to life." Direction workshop with Patric Chiha In partnership with La Manufacture, the Cinema Dapartment invited austrian director Patric Chiha for a direction workshop destined to 3rd year students. Head of workshop: "The deepest thing about man is his skin. Although it s not its subject, this beautiful phrase by Paul Valéry speaks to me of the essence of cinema: we only film surfaces and nothing else. During the workshop, I d like to work with the students from ECAL and La Manufacture on a series of screen tests, essays, shots... a bit like what you d do during a casting. For me, a casting is not a moment of verification or testing, but of research and encounter. What can directors and actors do together? Where does this first meeting lead us? How do we approach and film the other? How can we avoid trapping them in a preconceived image, and instead liberate their multiple identities? I don t believe in directing actors, except that perhaps, in an encounter, we direct each other. I believe much more in the tools of cinema - the camera, the light, the music... - as an invitation to play, to surprise, to emotion. Over the five days of the workshop, we ll use a series of improvisations, filmed in natural or artificial light, with or without words, trusting in the mysteries of faces, the pace of bodies and the rhythms of gestures - in everything that may at first seem superficial - and without resorting to scripts, to try to reach emotions." Patric Chiha, director

VISIONS DU RÉEL: MASTERCLASS & ECAL FILMS,04–13.04.2025,Nyon As guest of honour at the 56th edition of the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, filmmaker Raoul Peck will be giving a masterclass on Tuesday 8 April, organised in partnership with the Cinémathèque suisse. The programme also includes five films by the ECAL s Cinema Department and alumni. MASTERCLASS: RAOUL PECK Filmmaker, Haiti Born in Haiti in 1953, and raised in Congo, New York, France and Germany, Raoul Peck is one of the most important filmmakers of the late 20th and early 21st century. Over the course of the last forty years, the filmmaker has anchored his complex body of work, which includes internationally acclaimed feature films and documentaries, in a deep political commitment. The genesis of his cinematographic tales stems in equal measure from his multicultural personal experience, his journey as an activist, and what he refers to as a “Marxist reading” of the global economy. An indefatigable narrator of tales as seen from the viewpoint of those subject to domination, Raoul Peck has also questioned the links to capitalism in his own personal history, haunted by the ghosts of colonialism. His films examine omissions from official Western history, shining a light on aspects ignored by this account, often sketching a portrait of politicians or artists who have openly deconstructed it, such as Patrice Lumumba in Lumumba, La Mort du prophète, a feature film released in 1990, followed bythedocumentary Lumumba (2000), James Baldwin in I Am Not Your Negro (2016), and, most recently, Ernest Cole with Ernest Cole: Lost and Found (2024). Summoning the past to examine the present and rejecting any call to neutrality, Raoul Peck s work is a reinvention of activist cinema, which he transforms using a cinematographic, poetic and highly subjective language, freely intermingling genres and formats. Exterminate All The Brutes, a hybrid series in four parts (produced by HBO) – which will also be screened during the Festival – is a perfect example of this: it is a journey back in time, a radical re-examination of the history of European colonialism, from America to Africa, using personal, visual and literary narration to starkly revisit the darkest hours in human history right up to the present day. It won a Peabody Award in 2022, and was also the subject of a critical and literary essay. An event in collaboration with the Cinémathèque suisse. In 1992, while Peru was in the grip of political unrest, Lucia and Aurora were preparing to leave their country with their mother for a better life in America. But to leave, they needed their father to sign the consent papers. Carlos, who had practically disappeared from their lives, now decided to fight to get his two ‘queens back. @klaudiareynicke , who graduated with a Bachelor s degree in Film from ECAL in 2024, won the ‘Best Graduation Film award for her short film Maman danse. What is left of a mother after years of domestic violence? What is left of her body, her dignity and her strength? Surely words, memory and a few dance steps that are still passed on. @meganebrugger

Fiction film workshop with Klaudia Reynicke The 2024 fiction film workshop for 2nd year students was lead by swiss and peruvian director Klaudia Reynicke. Head of workshop: "The aim of the second-year BA fiction workshop 2024-2025 was to write and direct short films on a very limited budget and to a very tight deadline. As head of this workshop, I chose to push these constraints to make it a real learning tool for the students. We took our inspiration from the principles of Dogma 95, while imposing a theme: ‘birth . The idea was to get the students to concentrate fully on the essence of filmmaking, to tell stories in the most raw and sincere way possible, without relying on devices often considered indispensable. This approach allowed them to explore storytelling and directing in a new way. Most of them played along. I ended up relaxing some of the rules of Dogme 95, which may seem contradictory. But this strict framework, which wasn t very sexy for many at first, served as a starting point, giving them a basis and constraints for experimenting, testing and researching. Then the projects took over. Everyone found their own urgency, their own rules. So we left Dogme 95 behind and concentrated on the films themselves. Films that are unique, sincere, sometimes raw, often powerful and as rich as they are profound, in all their splendour." Documentary film workshop with Alessandro Comodin The 2024 documentary film workshop for 2nd year students was lead by french italian director Alessandro Comodin. Head of workshop: "To make a film, you have to take into account so many variables that it may seem impossible. If we accept this ontological impossibility and the imperfection it entails, the greatest variable to be confronted in filming becomes the self. How, then, to film the Other? How do we portray them? How do we accept that the film will also be a portrait of ourselves? How do you strike a balance between the Other and yourself? How, finally, can we work on our own style, our own unconscious inclinations, our own tastes and desires, without letting ourselves be influenced by forms and images we ve already seen? We worked in the simplest, most artisanal way possible, going back to the very basics of cinematic grammar. We desacralized mise-en-scène, reducing it as much as possible to a question of light, frame, out-of-frame, sound... In this way, we were able to touch the heart of our craft with our own hands: the most important thing when we make a film is the people we re filming, the bond that binds us, the desire and pleasure of immortalizing them...and this in the same way, whether we re making documentaries or fiction." L ECAL AT VISIONS DU RÉEL: MASTERCLASS & ECAL FILMS,12–21.04.2024,Nyon As guest of honour at the 55th edition of the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, filmmaker Jia Zhang-Ke will be giving a masterclass on Tuesday 16 April, organised in partnership with the Cinémathèque suisse. The programme also includes six films by the ECAL s Cinema Department and alumni. MASTERCLASS: JIA ZHANG-KE Cinéaste, Chine Moderated by Jean-Michel Frodon, film critic and journalist A leading figure in independent Chinese cinema, and contemporary cinema more broadly, Jia Zhang-Ke will be presenting a masterclass exploring his captivating and multifaceted oeuvre which examines the history of his country and the characters who inhabit it. A retrospective of his films will run throughout the festival edition. Born in 1970 in the mining region of Shanxi, bordered by the Great Wall of China, Jia Zhang-Ke is a leading light in contemporary cinema. He belongs to a generation of Chinese filmmakers who were profoundly affected by the Tiananmen Square protests. His diverse filmography, which comprises more than 20 short and feature works, borrows elements from both genre and non-fiction cinema. Switching from taught thrillers to documentaries and encompassing a myriad hybrid formats woven together by non-professional actors, fictional works on a canvas of reality, and fantasies bypassing otherwise restrained stories, Jia Zhang-Ke has spent two decades creating a filmography as coherent as it is shifting. His stylistically diverse oeuvre deploys the full range of cinematographic techniques (16 and 35mm, DV, HD, etc.). Approaching his subject as a visual artist, Jia Zhang-Ke offers a subtle and subversive immersion in Chinese society, imbued with a sublimated realism. Resisting censorship and tirelessly defending the cultural significance of his country s cinematic output, Jia Zhang-Ke weaves long-form, epic-style stories to explore personal and multifaceted journeys that challenge the notion of dissolution of the individual within the national narrative. Ever willing to wrestle with the realities of China s recent history, the filmmaker offers a profoundly humanist representation that draws on memories and recollections. To achieve this, Jia Zhang-Ke creates a narrative polysemy that focuses its gaze on the everyday lives of ordinary people living in “intermediate towns” scattered between the rural life and that of the country s burgeoning megacities. By doing so, Jia Zhang-Ke s films dissect the promises and mirages offered under the forced march of modernisation in effect since the 1960s. They examine the effects of this collective story, specifically the imposition of state capitalism on human beings, by providing a romantic and sensitive counter-narrative. An essential and uncompromising filmography that has often fallen foul of the government s strict censorship regime. An event in collaboration with the Cinémathèque suisse. Fiction film workshop with Carmen Jaquier The 2023 fiction film workshop for 2nd year students was lead by swiss director Carmen Jaquier. Head of workshop: "The initial proposal was to leave room for the students desires and quests, while offering a simple framework for the making of their second-year film. We worked from a single set, as vast as Michelangelo Frammartino s and the exhausted interior architecture of John Cassavetes characters. Together, we looked for simple, accessible, everyday ways of nurturing a story and characters. We wanted to capture gestures, ways of speaking, and significant details in people we know and don t know. We came up with "A Rock", a sort of collection of images, thoughts and interactions, with the idea of expanding the universe of the films. To avoid the black holes of writing, we set ourselves in action, in movement. We imagined the shoots as parties, and danced with Aurélien. Collages and skeletons invaded the white walls of the school, revealing the films to come. On the big screen, I watch, moved, two young brothers tearing themselves apart over a lie, three friends in a frenzy just before separation, a young man absorbed by his need for power, a friend giving in under the weight of the mountain, two sisters who have made a promise to each other, a son who summons his father s spirit through music, the love and death rites of a young kendoka, a group of girlfriends in search of an inner voice, and a fragmented young man, before the end of the world." Fiction film workshop with Lionel Baier The 2023 fiction film workshop for 1st year students was lead by Lionel Baier. Head of workshop: "The aim of the workshop was to produce a 3 to 5 minute fiction film during a two days shooting at a single location around Lausanne, based on the script of a pre-existing film. The students saw ten feature films and were assigned one of them. They extracted a scene from it and adapted it. The films ranged from Subway (Luc Besson) to Lazarro Felice (Alice Rohrwacher). Each short film had to be able to be seen independently of the film from which it was taken. The aim of the workshop was to try out the problems of directing actors, cutting and directing without focusing on the script for this first fictional exercise." Rémi Molleyres – La Valse Sauvage (direction) Swiss countryside, 1939. Joseph has a date with Félicie, his fiancée, to go dancing at the village ball. He finds her agitated and she confesses to him that she has just killed her uncle and that she is about to flee. She invites him to leave with her, but he cannot bring himself to such an upheaval. This is the pitch for my graduation film, shot in April 2023. Driven by a real desire for fiction, I was confronted with the challenges related to period films. These constraints, in particular those related to the sets, turned out to be very stimulating for me during the writing process. The result is a film of around 20 minutes, the culmination of a very rewarding year. This project was indeed an opportunity for me to better understand the role of production and casting.

Jay Holdener – There Were Cowboys (direction) Thoroughly disappointed by his recent trip to the USA, for which he had great expectations, Daniel, back in Switzerland, goes back to his routine, which he finds very dull… One day he sees a ghostly cowboy appear before him, who entrusts him with a mission: to steal a Chevy El Camino. Commentary: Through this project, I wanted to try my hand at comedy while using references from genre films and their codes. I wanted to approach it through still shots and a lack of movement to showcase how static his life is.

Ilan Dubi – Avant l océan (direction) A short film shot in Lausanne by night. “A 15-year-old boy decides to flee his city to join Olivia on her way to the ocean. Only, a transportation issue forces them to wait in the city by night.” With a shoulder-mounted camera and a small crew, we set out into the streets of Lausanne to film the wanderings of two teenagers tinged with the melancholy of departure. In this film, with its saturated images and surreal sounds, I sought to explore the notion of introspection and the feeling of disillusionment that haunts our teenage years. The film opens with a shot of the ocean at sunset, followed by a transparent portrait of the main character.

Giulia Goy – Rose à la ferme (direction) Attracted to different image regimes, it was obvious to me that I wanted to use them for my graduation film. I knew that I wanted to film cows, but I was not yet aware of my attraction to them. I prefer documentaries, because of the freedom they give me and the chance they give me to play with fiction casually. I had already experimented with this form with my previous short film, Casting di un Padre, and it made me want to delve deeper into this personal approach. I really wanted to experiment with my practice, to get out of my comfort zone and to move towards a form of cinema that speaks to me. Synopsis: Rose, a young filmmaker looking for a job, decides to change direction and train as a farmer. This coming-of-age story questions our relationship with the land, with art and with the role of filmmakers as observers of our world.

Directing workshop with Yann Gonzalez In partnership with La Manufacture, the Master Cinema ECAL/HEAD invited director Yann Gonzalez to take part in a directing workshop. Professor: The most crucial challenge in working on the question of theatricality was to create links between the students of the Master ECAL/HEAD, and those of La Manufacture - Stage directing Master. Theatricality is organic to my cinephilia and, indeed, to my films. By showing the students extracts from opposite ends of the spectrum, from Chantal Akerman s Toute une nuit to John Waters Desperate Living, from Daniel Schmid s Cette nuit ou jamais to a clip from Palmbomen II, I wanted to convey this idea of a plural theatricality, by turns playful and grotesque, hypnotic and lyrical. In short, theatricality as a tool for freedom. And that s what we set out to do, all of us together, during this short workshop week: to create bursts of freedom within the limits of a collective exercise with no resources - two days of preparation and reflection, two days of filming, one day of editing. Starting with a basic constraint and narrative, two groups of six students opened up their most unbridled imaginations and shared roles and functions with a group spirit that was a pleasure to behold. Yann Gonzalez, director

Jay Holdener – There were cowboys (Direction) Daniel back from the USA, is given a mission by a ghostly Cowboy: to steal a Chevy El Camino. Fiction / 20 15 min Synopsis Terribly disappointed by his recent trip to the USA for which he had too great expectations, Daniel, back in Switzerland, finds his daily life waiting for him. As he s slowly drowning in depression, one day appears before him a cowboy who ll give him a mission: to steal his dream car, a Chevy El Camino. Commentaire de l étudiant Through this project, I wanted to dip my toe in comedy while using references to genre films and their codes. I wanted to do it through still shots and a lack of movement to install how static his life is. Jay Holdener

Giulia Goy – Rose on the farm (Direction) Rose is a young filmmaker who s looking for a job. She decides to go on a course to retrain as a farmer. This is an inceptive story that questions our relationship with the land, with art, as well as the role of filmmakers as observers of our world. Docu-Fiction / 35 min Synopsis Rose, a young, recently graduated filmmaker, reflects on her calling on this earth. Looking for a job, she applies to the regional employment office. As there are no openings and as she wishes to work outside, she gets an offer to retrain as a farmer. Rose decides to trust the institution and embarks on this existential venture while keeping a diary. An initiatory quest that questions our relationship to nature, to art, to the role of filmmaker as an observer of our world. Student s comment Attracted by different image regimes, it was obvious to me that I wanted to use them for my graduation film. I knew that I wanted to film cows, but then I wasn t yet aware of my attraction to them. I prefer documentaries because of the freedom they give me to work in this way, and the chance they give me to play with fiction in a "pretend" way. I d already experimented with this form with my previous short film, Casting di un Padre, and made me want to go deeper into this personal approach. I really wanted to experiment with my practice, get out of my comfort zone and want to move towards a cinema that speaks to me. Giulia Goy

Rémi Molleyres – The wild waltz (Direction) Joseph discovers that Félicie, his fiancée, just killed her uncle and has decided to run away. A whole life collapses for the young couple. Student s comment This is the pitch for my diploma film, shot in April 2023. Driven by a reel desire for fiction, these are the challenges related to period film that imposed themselves on me. These constraints, in particular those related to the decors, proved to be very stimulating for me during the writing. The result is a film of around twenty minutes, the culmination of a very rewarding year. This project was indeed an opportunity for me to better understand the role of production or casting. Rémi Molleyres

Ilan Dubi – Before ocean (Direction) Léon has a tough night as he runs away from home to join Olivia on her journey to the ocean. Fiction / 21 min Synopsis For one night, Léon, a 15-year-old boy, runs away from home. He s going to join Olivia, a young adult who s going to the ocean to settle down. But the two bikers who are supposed to take them have had one of their motorcycles stolen. So Léon and Olivia wander the city, each with their desires and dreams in danger. Student s comment A short film shot in Lausanne by night. With a shoulder-mounted camera and a small crew, we set out into the streets of Lausanne to film an adolescent wandering tinged with the melancholy of a departure. I wanted to explore the notion of introspection and the feeling of disillusionment that inhabits our teenage years in this film with its saturated images and surreal sounds. The ocean haunts the characters. Ilan Dubi

Documentary film workshop with Guillaume Brac 2nd year students took part in a documentary workshop led by Guillaume Brac, on the theme of friendship. Head of workshop: Guest teachers: (editing) (photogrpahy) (writing) "After a successful first experience last year, I once again had the pleasure of helping second-year students make their documentary films. This time, I didn t give them a mandate, but rather a theme - friendship - to interpret freely. What I wanted above all was to get them to film the bond, the feeling. To delve into their experiences and emotions. The watchword of the workshop was sincerity. To make the most accurate, honest film possible, in terms of point of view and relationship to the filmed subject. To find the cinematographic language, the directing, that corresponds to and resembles them. This workshop is as fascinating as it is demanding, because it involves students getting to know themselves better, as filmmakers of course, but also as people. From these almost five months of work and trial and error have emerged ten very fine films, all very personal, dealing with a wide variety of bonds. The bond with the distant or missing father, with the prisoner to whom we write, with friends left on the other side of the world, with the party gang, with the friend undergoing reconstruction, with the famous young actor, with old Michel, with God, with his dog. We cry at some, laugh at others. And we tell ourselves that making films is a great way to grow up." ECAL AT VISIONS DU REEL: Masterclass and films,21–30.04.2023,Théâtre de Marens, Nyon As part of the film festival Visions du Réel (April 21 to 30) in Nyon, Lucrecia Martel will give a masterclass on Tuesday, April 25, organized in partnership with La Cinémathèque suisse. Four films from ECAL Cinema Department students and alumni will also be part of the programmation. MASTERCLASS: LUCRECIA MARTEL Filmmaker and screenwriter Salta, Argentina Tuesday, April 25, 2pm Usine à Gaz 2, Nyon Visions du Réel s guest of honour Lucrecia Martel will give a masterclass, which will explore her body of work and her relationship with reality. A retrospective of her films will also be presented during the edition. Lucrecia Martel gained international fame with her first feature length film La ciénaga (2001), shot in her home region, and has since embodied the resurgence of Argentinian film, both nationally and internationally. The director s filmography, which consists of 4 feature length films and 25 titles in total (including different kinds of projects), has constantly made a mark on her country in a post-dictatorial context, as well as at the most prestigious festivals. Lucrecia Martel s films use a highly sensual cinematographical grammar to examine the existential crisis of the Argentinian middle classes, the inner workings of society and the country s suffocating social mechanism, as well as post-colonial issues. She achieves all this while relentlessly evoking, implicitly, the history of her country and the ghosts that inhabit it. Her attention to detail – particularly to sound, noise and dialogues – and the kaleidoscopic approach of her work are in keeping with a dual tradition that is both oral and adventurous in cinematographical terms, steeped in a joyous cinephilia. Rooted in the filmmaker s very familiar territories and experiences, Lucrecia Martel s body of work borrows from a multitude of genres and offers a rich and fascinating hybridisation of fiction and reality. After Terminal Norte in 2021, she is currently working on new non-fiction feature length film that should be released in 2023. Moderated by Emilie Bujès, artistic director of Visions du Réel and Paolo Moretti, head of ECAL Cinema Department. An event in collaboration with La Cinémathèque suisse Text: Vision du Réel FILMS In the occasion of Visions du Réel from April 21 to 30, 4 films from ECAL Cinema Department and alumni are programmed. Fiction film workshop with Thierry de Peretti The 2022 fiction film workshop was lead by Thierry de Peretti. Head of workshop: Related workshops : (cinematography) (editing) "For the fiction workshop of the second year class that the ECAL film department entrusted me with, I proposed to Camille Anker, Mégane Brugger, Pol Barrelet, Naïla Ebinger, Benjamin Eggenberger, Matteo Friberg, Donika Gashi, Rose Higorom, MariaLuisa Vaz, Hervé Ossent, to think together about the idea of "adaptation". Being myself in the throes of the exercise with my next feature film, adapted from a novel, it was a way to connect in the most obvious way with them. When we talk about adaptation we often think of the novel, but everything can be adapted, a play, a poem, a short story, a film, a part or a few lines of a novel, an article or an interview, a memory, a dream, a text that we have written ourselves. What seems important to me is the way in which one translates, understands, betrays or is faithful. I also asked them to be as economical as possible in the means they used to shoot: few shots, no camera movements, no special effects, no external (artificial) light, as few locations as possible. We were going to work together on what would be some of their first films and I wanted to encourage them to make simple, quick, clean experiments, free from the will to seduce: films of self-taught people. I was deeply touched to see how each one of them took up the exercise, sometimes with an imperious and immediate intuition, other times by taking a steeper and more worried path. Today, ten new, free proposals remain, which in the end care little about the final result. These proposals are all clear and risky, both poetically and technically: they are films behind which we recognize each of the future filmmakers they will be tomorrow." Documentary film workshop with Guillaume Brac The 2022 documentary workshop was lead by Guillaume Brac. In partnership with the Lausanne Sport! ECAL film department proposed that I accompany ten second-year students on a documentary mandate financed by Lausanne Sport, the city s historic soccer club. Although I am interested in this sport, I was very clear from the start: it was not a question of making a film about soccer or the functioning of the club, but a film in which soccer would be the starting point, the spark, allowing me to go on to much more personal, intimate, singular elements. I insisted on the liberating power of the commission, at least when it is accompanied by a real freedom, which was the case here. I encouraged each student to find, if necessary to invent, the form, the device, the staging, that best corresponded to his or her sensitivity and subject. Documentary films offer to curious and adventurous filmmakers infinitely more possibilities in terms of film writing than fiction. And I believe that the films of this workshop, of an extreme diversity of forms, tones, and motifs, are a brilliant demonstration of this. Olivia Calcaterra – The wonderful pain of the wild Broom (Direction) In the desert of southern Spain, a film designed to bring together animal and human emotions through the trauma of abandonment. Documentary / 22 min Synopsis In the desert of southern Spain, a film designed to bring together animal and human emotions through the trauma of abandonment. Comment Having gone in search of stray and abandoned Spanish greyhounds in Almeria, I decided to address the theme of abandonment through a documentary focusing on the introspection of emotions linked to this trauma. Inspired by Leopardi s poem about resilience, I sought to bring together human and canine feelings in the experience of being abandoned by someone. The urge to make a documentary came after my first documentary last year. I wanted to try to give the project an aesthetic sense linked to fiction, to have two contrasting worlds in the film. The film is accompanied by a narrative voice, which is not didactic, in order to unite the reportage side with a more photogenic and experimental aspect. Olivia Calcaterra

Alice Denyse – Les mouches de Beni (Direction) Beni, a young woman with bipolar disorder, forms a musical friendship with her 65-year-old neighbour Gégé. Fiction / 20 min Synopsis One evening, Beni, a young woman, meets her 65 year old neighbour Gégé. The two women become friends and Beni invites Gégé to discover her world through a surprising adventure. The birth of their cross-generational friendship will shed light on the complexity of bipolarity, a disorder from which Beni suffers. Music unites them and strengthens the core of their friendship. Student s comment Beni, a young woman with bipolar disorder, befriends her next-door neighbour, Gégé, a 65-year-old woman with a passion for her gospel choir. Bipolarity is a subject that touches me personally, since my grandmother Denyse, after whom I am named, was bipolar. In order to better understand this illness, I met people with bipolar disorder who helped me clarify the point of view developed in my film. This also helped me understand the importance of female solidarity for the people concerned. This is why I wanted to portray a relationship between two women where mutual care and support are essential. A colourful film to reflect Beni s vision: I wanted the viewer to identify with her. Alice Denyse Matthey

Marion Reymond – Drifiting away (Direction) A young caregiver uses her imagination to cope with the mourning of her mother and to escape from the nursing home where she works. Fiction / 13 30 min Synopsis A young caregiver reverts to a fantasy world to cope with the grief of losing her mother and to escape from the drudgery of the care home where she works. Student s comment Drifting Away (A la dérive) is based on a desire to film a place that is crowded, in this case a nursing home, with the aim of exploring group effects. The tone of the film plays with situational comedy and questions the meaning of existence and death between shots. One of the particularities of the film is that it mixes mediums, between live action and animated sequences. Drifting Away is defined as a sound and poetic film. Marion Reymond

Marie Chemin – The mountains are still growing (Direction) Laurence, a Parisian in her fifties, is spending a few days in an isolated holiday cottage in southern France. There she meets Antoine, the young owner of the place. Antoine is a little boorish and macho and tries to seduce her. But Laurence is there for a specific purpose: to give him a letter containing a secret. Fiction / 30 min Synopsis Laurence, a Parisian in her fifties, is spending a few days in an isolated holiday cottage in the Lozère, in southern France. She has really come here to meet Antoine, 27, the owner of the property and to give him a letter. As they try to get to know each another, a strange atmosphere develops between the two of them. Laurence finds it really difficult to give him the envelope and reveal what is inside.
