Le projet "Lazy Bytes" est né d'une collaboration entre l'EPFL+ECAL Lab et le groupe Kudelski. Ensemble, ils ont invité quatre école de design à repenser la télécommande : the Royal College of Art in London, ENSCI-Les Ateliers de Paris, Parsons The New School for Design in New York, and the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne.
