Travaillant à la main ou à l’aide d’outils numériques tels que la découpeuse et le laser, les étudiant·e·s ont été invité·e·s à prendre en compte à la fois les qualités des objets artisanaux en édition limitée et les possibilités spécifiques de la fabrication numérique. Une attention particulière a également été portée à l’assemblage, à l’efficacité des matériaux, ainsi qu’aux concepts de packaging plat ou complémentaire.
À la fin de la semaine, le papier et la lumière se sont réunis au sein d’une collection variée d’objets lumineux imaginatifs, chacun reflétant une approche singulière du matériau, de la fonction et de l’atmosphère.
Working by hand or with digital tools such as the cutter and laser, students were encouraged to consider both the qualities of limited-edition, handcrafted objects and the specific capabilities of digital fabrication. Attention was also given to assembly, material efficiency, and flat-pack or complementary packaging concepts.
By the end of the week, paper and light came together in a diverse collection of imaginative lighting objects, each reflecting a unique approach to material, function, and atmosphere.
